The Warriors save over 80 million in the repeater tax, and gain some financial flexibility going forward for the price of a 2022 SRP. If they do end up trading for a star at the deadline or next offseason, Barnes contract paired with 1 or 2 of their young prospects will be much easier to move than Wiggins + the young guys. Barnes is a better rebounder and passer than Wiggins is, plus he has had some good success in the warriors system previously in his career. He is more consistent on offense than Wiggins. While Barnes isn’t quite the on-ball defender Wiggins is, he is better off-ball on defense than Wiggins. Wiggins often failed to rotate and was not a great team defender. Barnes is, and he was quite good defensively in the warriors system. Starters: Curry, Poole/Klay, Barnes, Dray, Loon

The Kings get a young, athletic, on-ball defensive stud in Wiggins. Wiggins fits their timeline and he fits in with their current roster make-up better than Barnes does. The Fox - Bagley combo has not worked, they move on from Bagley and choose Fox as their future franchise player. They also gain a protected 2022 FRP and an unprotected 2022 SRP. Starters: Fox, Hield, Wiggins, Thompson, Holmes

The Thunder trade one of their many protected FRPs for a young big who can play alongside SGA and Giddey for the next decade+
