Analysis: I believe that both Breece Hall and Kenneth Walker will be Pro Bowl backs while on their rookie deals. There are slim to no holes in each of their games. I believe that Hall will be able to be a top 5 guy at some point while Walker’s ceiling is likely in that 9-12 RB in the NFL range. Both will come in and be a focal point for whatever offense they get to play on and I see both having a really good overall career. Tier 2 is fascinating as I put 8 guys in here and I think you could rank any of those 8 in any order and I wouldn’t object. They all can thrive if put into the correct situation and are utilized properly. All those guys have the talent to back up being a second or third round pick, but it really does matter where they end up. For example, I think Kyren Williams could thrive in KC as a third down back that flexes out to receiver from time to time. Conversely, Kyren Williams would struggle a lot in a situation like Houston where he would need 20+ touches a game. Tier 3 features guys with a lot of potential where I just haven’t seen enough to justify putting them in Tier 2 (Pierce, Chandler, Badie) or are a high floor low ceiling backup that can eat touches if needed (Haskins, Ford). Teams such as Detroit, the Rams, the Ravens, or the Raiders could look to players in this tier as solid backups that could eventually pan out to be starters if things turn right. Tier 4 I see 1-2 of these guys being an Elijah Mitchell right out of the gate while 1-2 more likely catch on later in their career (Raheem Mostert). Overall, the top 10 is going to be solid value as I think all ten will contribute in some way or another immediately while some/most will get a crack at starting or being the lead back in a committee. The worst value is probably Tier 3 because there is just a huge dropoff between that 8-10 compared to the 11-13 running backs this year.
