Dream Fit: Wizards, Thunder, Hornets

Overall Grade: 48.82

Projected Position: PF/C

Strengths:

  • Long arms allow him to block shots easily

  • Long strides from the perimeter allow him to quickly close distance

  • Good movement for his size

  • Good floor spacing ability

  • Solid pump & hesi

  • Good timing & secures on rebounds

  • Great coast to coast speed & control of handle

  • OK recovery speed

  • Solid physicality defending drives, but can overdo it on bumps leading to fouls

  • Good passing feel to rollers & on skip passes from the post

  • Able to affect shots in the paint with his length

Weaknesses:

  • Poor decision making in screen navigation

  • Slender frame

  • Poor post strength

  • Can overcommit to hedging, also hedges very poorly taking bad angles

  • Gives too much space on post contests

  • Gums up driving lanes in transition offense

  • Bad finishing through contact

  • Avoids physicality on drives

  • Backpedals too much defending the perimeter & has no affect on pull-up shots as a result

  • Lack of consistent post physicality

  • Bad boxouts

  • Puts himself into traffic on rolls

  • Some stupid passes getting the ball up the court

  • Limited handle other than a straight line dribble

  • Can have a lack of awareness on in passes he is meant to recieve

Quietly a well rounded prospect at his height, doesn't have much wow factor but good shooter with nice touch. A gamble not athletic and needs to bulk up. A little bit of Jonas Jerebko

  • Does a little bit of everything

  • Plays like a big SF

  • Very raw prospect

  • Decent from 3 and finishing at the rim

  • Surprisingly athletic

  • Reliable defensively but nothing special

  • Very low risk, low reward

  • Decent playmaker

  • Decent rebounder

  • We've seen his archetype a lot in the NBA and they almost always don't become better than a top tier role-player

  • Comp: Joe Ingles / Franz Wagner / Jonas Jerebko

  • Ceiling: Borderline ALL-STAR

  • Floor: Bench

  • Expectation: Starter

  • What to Expect: Swiss army knife that can play either forward spot at a high level

Big and athletic. Finishes well at rim. The shot seems to be coming along. Still pretty raw. He's really versatile.

NBA Comp: Lauri Markkanen

Comp: Aleksej Pokusevski/Santi Aldama

  • sloppy, raw handle w/ very little ball protection; does not project to convert well to the next level

  • overall coordination and body fluidity could be better considering he’d be unlikely to play long-term center minutes despite being almost 7-foot

  • extremely slight frame; gets tossed around in traffic and prevents high-level rim pressure

  • good 3pt shooter off the catch; drained 39.4% of his catch and shoot looks

  • good vision and accuracy as a passer especially from the perimiter

  • monster wingspan and great positional height suggests a high ceiling

  • good finishing touch

  • disruptive defensive playmaker due to physicals, but struggles against contact and could have quicker feet

Marković is a modern stretch forward who also offers skill as a passer and post scorer. But to handle the rigors of the NBA and become a positive defender, he needs to add a ton of muscle.

Pros:

Shooting

Post Scoring

Passing

Defensive Upside

Cons:

Strength

Ball Handling

Comparison: Santi Aldama

(19/5) TBC

20 YO 6'11 Serbian PF who might be the most well-rounded at his size this year.

Markovic's shooting is his biggest pull. Shoots it at a high level everywhere.

Rebounding is serviceable, but not at the level of a center, which would probably be his biggest concern when switching up. Isn't able to rebound offensively over larger players.

Getting great experience playing at the pro level in Serbia, where he's a large rotation player on his team.

Very unimpressive athlete. His first step is slow and struggles to finish above the rim. Plays with energy though and is fluid and coordinated.

Solid secondary passer, but turns the ball over a lot. He turns the ball over in a variety of ways too, losing his dribble, poor passes, etc.

His defense could be nice with some more strength, his awareness and IQ is good, and he moves pretty well. Not being a real shot blocker at his height is a little bit of a turnoff, though.

Not solely a 3 point shooter, has a really nice in between game.

Really needs to get stronger and improve his dribble to become a bigger contributor at the next level.

Comp: Joe Ingles

-Shoots 3s at a decent rate, percentage -Pretty low rebound rate for his size, but I'm not sure who all he's playing next to at Mega -Good passing indicators, just not at the level of Sorber, Queen, Broome, etc. -Will probably be a negative on defense to begin his career -Worth a flyer given the age, skills and historic success of Mega bigs
