Strengths: closes out hard on opponents, not afraid to be on the perimeter at times guarding, he can make the right reads defends inside pretty well, rebounds, FT does pretty well for a big man but could be better, has a 3 point shot but needs more work
Weaknesses: needs to get stronger, handles are very loose, has to make quicker decisions, a young prospect, have to be better at close outs if he is going to be a versatile big

Although he kinda looks like the ghost of a giraffe, I am all in on Bogoljub Markovic. This kid is the next Lauri Markeneen. I don’t understand how he isn’t a consensus lottery pick. He’s playing great basketball for a European team with a long history of producing NBA players.
Markovic has soft hands that give him good touch when passing and working in the post. But his calling card will be his three point shooting. Catch and shoot, but from the spot up and pick and pop, are his biggest strengths right now. He is fluid enough to score in transition and when cutting, but lacks explosiveness.
His true height might determine a lot about his draft position. It’s fine when Porzingis looks awkward and unbalanced because he’s 7’4. When a 6’10 PF does it you question his ability to defend.
Even if he isn’t able to defend big guards, he is young and raw enough to turn into a great offensive weapon. His feel for the game seems to be high and his strong frame implies some untapped physicality.
