Amazing shooter with some more tools on offense. Targeted defensively. Unathletic. Shades of less athletic Austin Reaves.

Enième combo-guard, Spencer peut prendre feu en attaque. Il pourrait trouver sa place parmi les remplaçants d'une équipe en quête d'un joueur qui prendra ses tirs dans le flow offensif.

Pro Comparison: Pat Connaughton

  • Catch-and-Shoot Threat

  • Off-Ball Mover

  • Feel For the Game

++Strengths:++

  1. Knockdown 3-point shooter off screens and handoffs (40% from 3 in his college career)

  2. Solid handling ability which allows him to dribble into midrange jumpers, floaters, and layups

  3. Hustler off-ball who's always looking for cutting and relocating opportunities

  4. Good decision-maker with the ball who can run the pick-and-roll and offer reliable playmaking

  5. Competes on every single defensive possession and chases rebounds

  6. Almost always in the right position, is quite agile, and has strong positioning

++Weaknesses:++

  1. Lacks athleticism

  2. Undersized wing who lacks strength against stronger players

  3. Serious hip concerns early in his college career

  4. 24 years old

  • A high scoring guard who really knows how to get buckets. While he doesn’t have a blazing first step or high end athleticism he knows how to get open and get his shot.

  • He’s a deadly 3pt shooter and has a nice in-between game as well.

  • Holds his own on the defensive end but it’s not a strength of his game.

  • A good decision maker who gets his shots within the flow of the offense.

  • Could be an off-the-bench scorer at the next level.

Smart player, who can get hot from the 3pt line and really gives his best effort defensively every time down

Great guy to pair next to Shannon on the board: another old guy, but this time with horrible physical tools and incredible feel, skill level and intangibles. I love the profile, but I can't put him any higher than this given his total lack of athleticism as a small guard
