Dailyn Swain, 6'8, 220, SG/SF, Texas, Jr.

  • Comp: Andrew Wiggins / Paul George / Trevor Ariza

  • Ceiling: Borderline ALL-NBA

  • Floor: Bench

  • Last year's stats: PTS(11.0) REB(5.5) AST(2.6) BLK(0.6) STL(1.6) FG%(53.2) 3P%(25.0)

  • Has improved statistically

  • Very streaky shooter

  • Great slasher, quick first step and great at moving down hill

  • When he catches his stride, he is extremely dangerous

  • Very aggressive defender, sometimes results in steals, other times in foul trouble

  • Good rebounder

  • Should try to improve his court vision

  • If he can make his highs more consistent will easily be the steal of the draft

  • Expectation: Borderline ALL-STAR; I think he'll be the steal of the draft, even if he is still semi streaky but can make his good games more consistent than not, he'll be somebody in the league

Comp - Herb Jones Defensive-minded wing with length and disruption ability. Competes on the glass and in passing lanes. Offensive creation will determine ceiling.

Dailyn Swain is a great Sg thad love to make playes in the paint he attacks the rim finishes strong and rebounds well. He has size physicality and efficiency inside but three-point volume is low. Could be a lottery or mid first round pick in the 2026 NBA Draft as a versatile wing with scoring upside.

Dailyn Swain is a name that is starting to get some first round buzz. He is averaging almost 18 points a game now as a cherry on top of his do-it-all style game. He can handle it and lead an offense, finish at the rim, and he makes a ton of plays on defense. At 6'8 he plays more like a point guard on offense but his size allows him to create opportunities really well. His shooting is pretty spotty at best which will be his biggest knock. I would guess second round for Swain still but I can certainly see the logic of getting a long, jack-of-all trades type late in the first round.

Very athletic wing with good size who can do everything just hasn't been getting the attention he should be getting on a bad Texas Longhorns team

RANK

  • Big and athletic point forward

  • High usage but still pretty efficient for Texas

  • Has been able to self-create and get himself good looks

  • Really impressive as a slasher, uses his burst and body to get good looks around the basket

  • Good finisher at the rim and can get pretty crafty

  • Not a bad shooter, but not a good shooter (34%), I think he could continue to improve, and he's a good FT shooter (80%)

  • The gravity on his drives leads to him being able to make plays for others

  • Can fit passes into tight windows and is showing increased confidence

  • Turns the ball over quite a bit but it's often because he gets swarmed (3.3 apg to 2.7 topg)

  • Event creator on defense (1.8 spg)

  • Long-armed and physical, plays smart and doesn't foul often, will probably be a plus defender in the NBA

  • Only 20 (21 on draft day), and with a lot of NBA-level skills developed, if the shot continues to improve, he could be a very good NBA player
