Pro Comparison: Lonzo Ball

  • Feel For the Game

  • Catch-and-Shoot Threat

  • Hustle

++Strengths:++

  1. Beautiful passer who can use either hand to dart passes around the court

  2. Confidence and fearlessness in his playmaking while also limiting mistakes

  3. Improving shooter who made 40% of his catch-and-shoot 3s and 80% of his free throws throughout his freshman year

  4. Good touch near the rim

  5. Flashes potential from the midrange as he can create space with crossovers and other combos

  6. Long-armed defender who plays with heart, effort, and IQ both on and off the ball

++Weaknesses:++

  1. Shooting must improve to maximize his shot creation ability as he struggles off the catch against tough contests

  2. Currently a nonfactor off the dribble from 3

  3. Below-the-rim finisher who can't explode toward the basket

  4. Doesn't draw many fouls as he's more finesse than power

  5. Lacks elite athleticism with regards to vertical and a quick first step

Floor General: Tall Tre Jones, Better shooting Anthony Black

Proctor has good size for a pg and should be able to defend other up in the nba. He takes care of the ball and zips creative passes frequently. He shoots well and has earned the main ball handling responsibilities at Duke over teammates Roach and McCain.

Proctor does not have a very fast first step and finishes below the rim. Serious question about if he'll be able to create advantages for his team in the NBA.

Stats - 10.1 PPG, 2.7 RPG, 4.4 APG, 0.8 SPG, 0.2 BPG

College/Team - Duke

Age - 19 Years Old

Size - 6’5’’, 183 lbs

NBA Comparison - Shake Milton / Coby White

Proctor has been a bright spot for Duke this season, averaging 10.1 points and 4.4 assists per game on 45.7% shooting from the field and 34.3% from three. He can improve his draft stock a bit if he shows more aggression as a playmaker and attacks the basket more often as well.

Pseudo-Point Guard that will occasionally make a highlight pass. He has good instincts out of the pick and roll, but doesn't have the handle depth to really play the PG. He made some nice crossovers at the college level, but it doesnt really string together the way an NBA point guard would.

Shooting Stroke looks good though his shooting didn't really pop in College. He disappeared in some really big games. Basketball IQ gives hope for him to become an NBA level player

Possible Role: Dante Exum type guard off the bench where he can relieve the pressure off of primary ball handlers and push pace.
