Heres my thing with Giannis right now. We arent great right now for sure. But rn its looking like this offseason we will have a lottery pick, Bobby and Kuzma (who has been FAR better this season) become far more tradeable, about 30mill in space above the first apron and we retain control of all our good young talent (KPJ, Rollins, Green) with absolutely NOBODY important coming off the books. If he is patient for 1 year, we get some growth outta some guys who still have room to grow (hell even GTJ is only 26 he could still improve too), and we hit on a wing, either through the draft pick or trade market like Trey Murphy, Camara or a mystery guy, this team could be scary all over again.
Its admittedly a lot of ifs, but its also not a completely implausible situation as well.
Alternatively, Because many of these guys are still young, if GA really wants to leave, we really arent in a bad spot too, as long as we either 1.get our picks back, or 2.get a good, high potential, younger player who can fill the spot on the wing
Either way, despite my prospects for THIS season being lower than I had hoped, I do still have hope for the bucks future as a whole, mostly due to the progression from guys like Rollins, and KPJ who have shown they can carry a portion of an offensive load (an even lead it for some stretches, although inconsistently).
