First off sad to see the user leave but that’s besides the point. Labaron came off a strong sophomore year last year with bama and was almost a lock for the lottery…almost…well…we all know how that ended up. But this might have been the most important thing in the nba draft for the nba as opposed to any other draft pick including aj, darryn, and boozer. As we all know from the espn notifications the 76ers right after the draft have been busy. Trading for jb, signing Anfranee, and other moves. And as we I’m sure by now also know is that Phili is still in contention for LeBron, and there are rumors that Ben Simmons wants back in Phili now. When Phili drafted him I’m sure they weren’t banking on getting brown or some of those guys and still having 10 mil in cap to get other quality players like lebron and Simmons. Labaron gets to come off the bench of a potential starting lineup of Maxey, vj, brown, lebron, and embiid. Labarons main reason he slipped is cause he is more of a high floor player as opposed to a high ceiling player and a lot of teams in the middle of the draft wanted a high ceiling pick. Labaron is a slightly older and more experienced rookie who is probably gonna come into and get consistent, steady pg minutes cause of the floor. And he has potentially the likes of LeBron and Embiid to mentor him. And the young core between him, Maxey, and vj is elite for the future. Maxey could quite literally be the greatest 6 man oat if he’s willing to buy into it. While aj and Peterson might be getting all star teams by year 2-3 labaron could be a multi time champ by that point as a big contributor.
