Milwaukee Bucks: Grade: A-
Strengths: Jalen Smith is a better defender, younger, and on a better deal than Portis. Torrey Craig adds depth as a versatile veteran forward. Chris Duarte is an above-average shooter with Bird Rights. Two future protected second-round picks can be used for drafting or trading.
Weaknesses: The Bucks lose scoring off the bench, requiring other rotational players to step up.
Chicago Bulls: Grade: B+
Strengths: Bobby Portis is a solid big man who can be flipped for a salary filler or bad contract, potentially acquiring a couple of second-round picks. MarJon Beauchamp is a flyer prospect or can be flipped for cash or a heavily protected or late second-round pick. AJ Johnson is an unknown prospect with untapped potential. The 2031 Bucks' top-3 protected first-round pick could be enticing when the Bulls begin to compete.
Weaknesses: If they are unable to trade Bobby Portis before the deadline, the trade value could decrease significantly.
Sacramento Kings: Grade: A+
Strengths: The Kings receive cash considerations for enabling protections, which is a low-risk move that provides financial flexibility
