Way too early to do this. But Brooklyn could be 8th-10th in the east by the trade deadline, with weird Kyrie and Simmons stuff looming.

Lakers logic: If the Lakers are going to throw away their future for a possibility of saving this season, it has to be someone who can make an impact. Kyrie can make an impact. He can sink your team (which is why no one else will want to trade for him) but the Lakers are already sunk. It's worth the risk.

Bucks logic: Royce O'Neal is good, and a perfect piece for a contender. The Nets gave up a 1RP for him so two 2RPs + a rotation player is fair.

Grizzlies logic: The Warriors are vulnerable - this is a chance for Memphis to win the title. Trading for Durant while keeping Ja, Bane, Clarke, & JJJ is a coup. They give up 4 1sts and a couple 2nds, but it's worth it - worst case, Durant asks out after a year or two and you recoup at least 3 of those 1sts by trading him away. And in the meantime? You're the presumptive title favorite in both 2023 and 2024.

Nets logic: The Nets could be a disaster - as I laid out above. At a certain point, nuking everything makes the most sense. Seth Curry will likely also go for a 1RP to a contender, Mills for a 2RP, and they probably hold onto Simmons (his value could not possibly be any lower right now - I don't see anyone trading for him). 6 1sts in this deal, a bunch of 2nds, some promising young players (Ziare, Brooks, Nwora) and no more headaches.
