This acts as a potential upside trade but may just be extra.

They could even trade Saddiq Bey. I think this would be a good move at the trade deadline.

Overall this sets the Bucks up for a rebuild while Dame’s money is on the books. This could set them up with seven additional 1st round picks between 2026-2029, including three of their own. In addition, they will end up with a few young players and enough of a roster to hopefully stay out of the relegation zone. If they’re smarter than the Nets they could be a serious contender by 2030 or 2031.

Portland is happy because they have more depth and shooting to win now. The Pelicans are happy because they apparently want Jaylen Brown and they don’t have to give up Zion to get him. Also they have more space from the tax to go get a center. The Raptors are happy because they get off of Poeltl and get more shooting in return.
