Here we have yet another coach candidate list

It is plain to see that Chicago is looking for a reset, and with them firing their GM and their President, they were wanting to rebuild around their Head Coach in Billy Donovan. Donovan had other plans and seemed he was tired of rebuilding and then going close to .500 if not below and was ready to let the next Front Office choose the next head coach. I do expect whoever the next Head Coach is will be dealing with a full blown restart and it starts with tanking this coming season.
First Timers
Sean Sweeney, San Antonio Spurs (AHC; 2025-?)
Think he will be the most popular name in this coaching cycle. Has a great track record everywhere he went. Coached guys like Giannis, Blake Griffin, Andre Drummond, Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving, and now Wemby. He will eventually get a HC job whether here or elsewhere in the next season or two.
Micah Nori, Minnesota Timberwolves (lead assistant; 2021-?)
Just like Sweeney, think everyone expects him to be a hot commodity. He is practically cut from the same cloth as Sweeney working for the Pistons in 2018-2021 working for Dwane Casey together. Has spent these past five seasons working with Anthony Edwards and has watched his growth and development.
Chris Quinn, Miami Heat (AHC; 2024-?)
Long time Miami Heat assistant who has been there since 2014 but recently received the AHC title not long ago. There is two things that could happen here, either leaves and takes a HC job or he waits until Spo retires and he replaces him.
Dave Bliss, Oklahoma City Thunder (assistant; 2019-?)
Also a long time assistant, this time for Oklahoma City. Worked for both Billy Donovan and now Mark Diagneault. He can come in and replace his former boss in Chicago and build and coach his own Thunder in the Windy City.
Sam Cassell, Boston Celtics (assistant; 2023-?)
Has won four championships, three as a player and one as a coach, has been in the NBA since 1993 and watched multiple eras and generations come and go. This would be a great veteran first time coach if Chicago wants to go that direction.
Give It Some Time
Steve Kerr, Golden State Warriors (2014-?)
Everything is pointing towards a divorce with the Warriors with his contract expired after this season. This may be on the top of the list in the next few days or so, but I will keep him lower just because of speculation. Kerr, with all of the accolades he has and being a former Bull, can be a guy the Bulls would really want on their sideline and build around his offensive play style.
A Reach, But...
Jon Scheyer, Duke (2022-?)
A Illinois native, has coached dozens of NBA talent in his short four year tenure so far and it is expected to grow. I think it is a stretch but never out of the question he gets a phone call, Tom Izzo and Dan Hurley were so close to leaving Michigan State and UConn for the NBA so it could happen.
There is my list. Let me know your thoughts down below!
