In this scenario, Chicago seeks to acquire the contracts of excellent players at a favorable price, to become a troublesome team in the East.

  • The first move is to re-sign A.Simons (60m in 3 years) and C.Sexton (48m in 3 years), very good players with excellent contracts to include in possible trades.

  • The first trade is the one with Toronto, in which we give up Sexton for J.Poeltl, G.Dick and 2frp (2026 and 2028 top5 protect) which helps us increase our draft capital and solves the problem of Poeltl's terrible contract with the Raptors.

  • The second trade is with Denver, where we give up J.Smith for C.Johnson and Z.Nnaji, this trade allows the Nuggets to free up cap space to re-sign P. Watson and add an excellent young defender, while giving us the opportunity to receive C.Johnson at a low price.

  • The third trade is with Miami, we exchange A.Simons, 1frp (TOR 2028 top5 protect) and 3srp (CLE 2027, DEN 2031 and MIN 2031) for T.Herro, Herro's contract is expiring and Chicago can try to get him at a good price, while for the Heat a package like this one offered by the Bulls could be better to add to their assets to aim for a top player in free agency.

  • The last trade is with New Orleans, we give up R.Dillingham, 1frp (TOR 2026) and 4srp (DEN 2026, NYK 2029, NYK 2031, Hou 2032) for H.Jones, Chicago acquires an excellent defender at a good price, while the Pellicans receive a promising young player and increase their draft capital, waiting for other probable departures from their roster in this offseason.

  • The latest move is the signing of M.Robinson in free agency for 45m over 3 years, to be added to the roster along with the 3 picks of this draft.
