Bulls take a risk on young defensive center with injury history and land Precious Achiuwa in S&T to make deal work.
Why New York Knicks do it? As good as Mitchell Robinson is on defense. He's atrocious on offense and can't stay healthy to save his life. He's only played in 65% of his career games and only 54% the past two seasons. Meanwhile Nikola Vucevic is a double double machine (11 of 14 seasons) with the ability at times to stretch the floor creating even more space for Jalen Brunson to operate, especially in the pick and roll. He's also an excellent passing big man. They also get a versatile veteran that can stretch the floor and defend multiple positions in Torrey Craig.
Why Bulls do it? Youth Movement. They have nothing to lose. They are in a semi-rebuild status and they can take the risk on Robinson in hopes that he can finally stay healthy. Precious Achiuwa is a versatile young big that the bulls can take a chance on that an expanded opportunity with the bulls can bring out untapped potential.
