My thoughts on the Bulls offseason
I believe that the Bulls should blow it up rather than remain in the NBA purgatory- mediocrity. Trading Zach LaVine would be a massive help, as in this scenario, having Ben Simmons on the books for 1 more year as opposed to Zach LaVine's 3 is a huge plus going forward. What I displayed in this scenario is what the Chicago front office is probably looking to pull off- not what I believe they should do. What they should do is trade their aging veterans with value (DeRozan, Vucevic, Caruso, LaVine) for younger players and picks. However, the Bulls front office has a certain attachment to the players they have currently, and they probably don't want to start another long rebuild since they just "finished" one prior to the 2021 offseason. The ceiling of this core has been met, and I believe the sooner the Bulls can capitalize on this roster's value for the future, the better Chicago will be in the long run. I don't think the Bulls front office thinks the same, so above is what I believe they will do in this coming offseason.
