Giving up on Lavine and Demar might seem crazy but hear me out. If we could snag Trae for Lavine & a 1st we would have our franchise PG situated and the Coby/Ayo problem would conclude. Now when Zo comes back who says we can't run Caruso and Lonzo at the 2 & 3 spots? They just are that good defensively. Now with Demar, we get a 1st along with Covington and Morris. 2 solid role players who the bulls can use. Worst case scenario it doesn't work and their contracts are over.

Atlanta can easily transition their franchise PG from Trae to Dejounte, especially when you have Zach Lavine being your main scorer now. Plus you receive a 1st. Atlanta easily improves with this, having a more dynamic roster.

Now the clippers do this to receive a savvy veteran who can score 25 points on any given night. Now, the clippers' issue has always been playmaking. You might now know this but Demar is one of the top guys in Hockey assist and is one of the better protectors of the ball, having a very good assist-to-turnover ratio. Overall he is an underrated playmaker and passer.
