MIN trade: The Bulls acquired Gobert in exchange for Dillingham, Williams, and two picks (the No.15 and No.56 in this draft) to be included in the Giannis trade package to Minnesota. This allows the Bulls to receive an experienced top center at a good price (considering that the No.15 pick would likely have been used to try to acquire a center).
CLE trade: The Bulls receive Strus, Schroder, and CLE 2031frp for T.Jones. This allows Chicago to increase their draft capital and allows the Cavs to add a good pg and, most importantly, free up cap space to sign LeBron this offseason.
OKC trade: The Bulls will receive Dort and Topic in exchange for cash compensation. This trade is very simple, OKC needs to free up cap space, Dort and Topic will be in the group of the sacrificed players in 99% of the case this offseason, so, considering they both have team options, rather than lose them for free, the Thunder will trade them to Chicago for cash. This move allows the Bulls to add a young player and a top defender at a bargain price.
F.A. moves: There are many interesting centers on the market, but the risk of overpaying a mediocre player is high. Therefore, with Gobert's arrival, the Bulls can take the risk of signing M.Williams for $45 million over three years, a very good young player, but one with frequent injury problems. In addition, they've signed K.Ellis for $10 million over two years, an excellent perimeter defender with good shooting percentages.
Draft moves: with the n.4 Wilson and with the n.38 Karaban.
Bulls roster after the offseason:
Guards: Giddey, Schroder, Topic, Okoro, Dort, Ellis.
Forwards: Buzelis, Wilson, Essengue, Miller, Strus, Karaban.
Centers: Gobert, Williams, Smith.
