After the draft lottery results, we can finally smile: a top four pick in a draft with a highly promising top four. Analyzing the top prospects (Dybantsa, Peterson, Boozer, and Wilson) and the three teams above us in the draft, I'd rule out Dybantsa dropping to the 4th pick. As for the other three, I see the possibility of them all dropping to the 4th pick. Potentially, Peterson would be the best option, while for fit, Wilson would be ideal. As for the 15th pick, there are multiple options, and unless a top prospect slides to the 15th, you need to choose a big. The best names, in my opinion, that will be around this pick are Aday Mara, Karim Lopez, and Hannes Steinbach. Steinbach is the one I'd choose, if he were still available. For the second round we have picks 38 and 56, for the 56 whoever is chosen with a 99% chance will go to play in the G-League or in Europe at least for this first year, for the 38th the target must be Luigi Suigo, it's difficult to predict which pick he will be taken, but if he is still free, he could be the steal of the draft.
So for the draft, with the 4 we choose Wilson, with the 15 Steinbach and with the 38 Suigo. To mark their contracts in the first year I used Mac for Wilson (10.7m), Yuki for Steinbach (5m) and Olbrich for Suigo (2.41m).
From the F.A. we are signing Dort for 60 million over 3 years, OKC is the strongest team in the league, but from this offseason they will also start having their first financial problems and I believe, also considering the 2 picks they have in this draft, that the man sacrificed will be Dort, a first-rate defender, born in 1999 (so he fits into our timeline) and to whom we can offer an excellent contract for multiple years, without affecting our salary flexibility.
A roster like this (if the rookies were to live up to expectations) would be one of the most complete defensively, therefore it would lack a pure scorer to improve offensively, for this reason the re-signing of A.Simons for 40m over 2 years is the perfect move to fill this gap.
Bulls roster after these trades:
Guards: Giddey, T.Jones, Dillingham, A.Simons, Okoro/Dort.
Forwards: Buzelis, Essengue, Wilson, L.Miller, P.Williams, Okoro/Dort.
Centers: J.Smith, Steinbach, Suigo.
