The Bulls are trying to become competitive in an uncertain Eastern Conference. A complete shakeup has seen the trade of some of the most important players of recent years for Chicago. The new roster will therefore consist of,
Guards: Smart, Beal, T.Jones, Ayo, Tucker, and Freeman.
Forwards: Brown, Buzelis, Okoro, Essengue, Phillips, and Liddell.
Centers: Claxton, N.Richards, and Olbrich.
Regarding the trades with the Celtics, Boston receives J.Giddey, J.Smith, 3frp, and 2srp, while Chicago receives J.Brown. The Celtics are in a difficult situation, knowing they won't be competing for a championship due to Tatum's serious injury. They're also in a difficult financial situation that has already seen them forced to give up key players for next to nothing. This trade would allow them to add two young players to the roster, one of absolute quality, and increase their draft capital. While for Chicago, the arrival of a star like Brown would be a major signal, even if it meant sacrificing a talent like J.Giddey (who no longer seems very inclined to stay in Chicago).
As for the Suns, Phoenix is getting Vucevic, P. Williams, and J. Carter, while the Bulls are getting Beal, N. Richards, and 2srp. Phoenix is making fantastic moves on the market, and the icing on the cake would be getting rid of Beal's contract. This trade would allow that without losing even 1frp, who is Phoenix's number one objective. Plus, adding a scorer like Vuc under the basket is the missing piece among the Suns' big men. While for the Bulls, it's a risky trade, but in addition to adding an experienced center to the roster, you're also adding B.Beal, who certainly has a terrible contract, but in my opinion, he can find his feet in Chicago and redeem himself after his negative experience with the Suns.
With Brooklyn, the Nets receive Z. Collins, K. Huenter, D. Terry, 1frp and 1srp while Chicago receives N.Claxton. In this case, the trade is very simple, the Nets are rebuilding, they took a center in the first round of this draft and therefore, I think, they will focus on him, while the Bulls are looking for a starting center to replace Vucevic.
As for Washington, the Whizards receive C.White, while the Bulls receive Smart, 1frp and 1srp; here too, the trade is very simple, the Whizards are rebuilding and therefore want either picks or quality young players. C.White would be the perfect player to pair with the new arrival T.Jonson, to take some pressure and responsibility off him and allow him to play his natural position, that is, sg; Furthermore, Washington would be one of the few franchises that could afford to extend C.White, given the large salary cap space and the expiring contracts of several veterans, who came here solely to accumulate draft capital; while for the Bulls, M.Smart would represent the defensive solution needed to compete at the highest levels.
starting lineup: Smart, Beal, Brown, Buzelis, Claxton.
