Cavs need wings one way or another, thought this was a fun idea to get high picks and take 2 big swings in the draft (if Mikal or another good wing isn’t obtainable)
Cavs downgrade from Garland, Allen, and LeVert to Dejounte, Capela, and Keldon… but add picks #1 and #8 to take big wings in the draft.
Hawks tank hard, get all their picks back from the Spurs…trade math can be simplified to Dejounte and #1 for #9, #20, and all their own picks back… flipping multiple, big, long term deals into expirings gives them unlimited flexibility next year (esp if they wait on Jalen Johnson’s extension like the 6ers did with Maxey).
Spurs add Garland, Smart, and Hunter for only Tre, Keldon, and 3 picks + 1 swap (#8 + 3 ATL)
Grizz get Allen to compliment Ja, Bane, and JJJ
.
Cavs draft Risacher @ #1 and another young, high upside, big wing @ #8 (Cody Williams, Tidjane Salaun, Ron Holland, Matas Buzelis, etc.)
Spurs draft Stephon Castle @ #4 to learn behind Marcus Smart for a year or 2
Hawks look to 2025 draft with the hope of adding a true superstar like Cooper Flagg to the Trae Young, Jalen Johnson foundation
