Cavs - PG Garland CPJ Jerome SG Mitchell, Levert, Merrill SF Strus, McDermott, Tyson PF Mobley, Wade Bertans C Allen, Olynk, Thompson
So I know Cavs dislike for Kelly Olynk runs deep, but also the supply of stretch bigs runs low in the NBA.
Cavs use TT in 15th spot veteran role and McDermott and Bertans signings at vet min gives Cavs a 3pt shooting depth at all front court positions!
Niang was a major disappointment year 1. I don't think he ever felt comfortable in Cavs system.
Raptors get two young guys in (2025 2nd Rd pick and Okoro) while also keeping a stretch big that may resurrect his career in Toronto in Niang.
Cavs fans may be disappointed by not getting a young guy for Okoro but Olynk can make an impact the next two years and fit the Cavs system perfectly.
Hopefully that's enough to convince the Toronto team to drop the Canadian by giving them three different types of assets.
As a Cavs fan, I would feel much better going into 24-25 season with Olynk instead of Niang.
