Cavs need to move 2x players to make the next step to building a championship team... This trade at 1st glance probably seems like a loss 1st cavs but let me explain..

1st off this trade only happens if you resign Don Mitchell ofc.

The 2x small back court of DG & Spida won't work. And there's only 1 ball! DG wants to be primary ball handler... GL in LA w lbj w that. Lol.

LA desperately wants a star... they don't want to Trade Austin Reaves tho but to get DG and lbj to resign they may move him. He would be a perfect for Cle w rua off bench and Dlo could opt in w LA w understanding cavs would give him new deal then upon arrival.

Dlo is a sharp shooter and can play off ball better than DG.. DG does not thrive off ball.. DLo can get streaky w his 3 ball & reminds me of Mike conley.. both ohio state alum so dlo back to ohio is a win.

Ofc losing dg hurts for dlo & Reaves & rui but lal also giving up 3x future 1sts which will be when lbj is 35... should be good high picks tho LA always gets stars eventually so who knows. But 3x fut 1sts incl...

As for JA he's a beast & I live his gm but it's time to let Mobley dominate DL & go against slower 5s... and space 5s out... 4s are faster & better Defenders.. instead of going vs Tatum you go vs porzingis. 4 example.

Mobley needs to keep bulking up & putting on weight but he is Starting to fill out. He can dominate defensively & moving Mobley to the 5 unlocks the 4 position for a stretch 4.

Mitchell needs space. Cle will add kenrich Williams & rui who can both space the floor at the 4 & play def. But w Austin Reaves , k Williams, rui along w max struss. Cle will have shooters surrounded Mitchell.

JA is exactly what thunder need as vs Minn they were dominated on boards. Chet holmgren is stretch 4 who can block shots but his thin frame allows him to get outrebounded. Especially in playoffs. Where gm is different.

J Allen is elite Rebounder & Defender & is exactly what okc needs to go to next Level. Plus chet is such a good stretch 4 that there gms would fit seamlessly w ja in dunker spot & chet at the 4. JA def & reb is what okc needs.

Now j giddey can't shoot. In playoffs he sat on bench. But j giddey can pass & play make & if he got his confidence back who knows. He's perfect for 2nd Unit or fill in for injury. He elite vision & size is hard to come by & he still developing.

Okc gives up 3x fut 1sts In this trade & also o dienng and shooter Isiah Joe.

If cle trades it's 2x Stars this offseason for role players to build around Mitchell then if & when the Mitchell era ends then u have 6x fut 1sts to build around or use for future moves...

One last thing... Don Mitchell is going to resign in Cle bc Cle is basically letting him call the shots behind scenes. They are experts at that after dealing w lbj..Mitchell wants to be the guy and have the ball . But is he good enough to win the chip?

W the right supporting cast & right tweaks I think he is good enough. U watch a team like Boston & see there is only 1 ball. J brown thinks he's da guy but every1 else think Tatum is the guy. These guys have egos. They see kobe , & jordan... are Alpha 1s... but u need role players to be role players & not think there alphas.

W finals coming up watch all the bad shots j brown takes for Cs. If they lose it ll be bc his bad shot selection. He will be trying to win finals mvp...

As for cavs building a team w role players around Mitchell & Mobley is best route to go.
