Pelicans traded a 2026 FRP (more favorable pick of Pelicans & Bucks) and the #23 pick to draft C Derik Queen at #13. Pelicans probably still like Missi, but their draft actions on draft night have shown that they might not be as invested in him as we originally thought.

Pelicans acquire F Georges Niang on an expiring contract, along with a Celtics 2026 FRP that could be pretty valuable with Jayson Tatum most likely out for the season and with the departures of Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis. Pelicans also get a couple of SRP’s in a year where they currently have none.

Celtics acquire C Yves Missi who would be their Center of the future, with the departure of C Kristaps Porzingis.
