The Celtics weren't looking to keep Grant at above 15 million a year. This would involved a sign and trade and I think would benefit both times. The Celtics get a true point guard and scorer to put next to Smart, while keeping White coming off the bench. The Thunder are looking towards next year. They get Grant Williams to put at either the power forward or even small depending the line up. They also get a veteran Brogdon to take over either the point or becoming the shooting guard next to Giddey. Celtics might have to throw in a draft pick but it works out I see for both teams.
