Most likely for this to work the Celtics would send their trade me player exception worth 27.7 and the picks to acquire Trey Murphy. In a separate deal they would send Pritchard - Hauser - White for Zion. The Pelicans would get a first this year, a swap best next year, and a top 5 protected in 2032. White could easily fetch a first and swap if not 2 first. Hauser could probably snag a late first or be a contributing player for years to come. Finally Pritchard is the stereotypical score first 6th man which in this league on his contract could get a mid first round pick. So the pelicans could potentially acquire 6 first from this move if they so wanted; this being said a 3rd team could just as likely be involved to get picks n youth for the Celtics 3 players.

The Celtics would get the much needed rim pressure and ball handling they need in Zion. I could see him playing a Jrue Holiday adjacent role. He would get good efficient rim points when the team shall enter a shooting lol. Of course the main issue with the Zion addition is injury concerns but if he had an actual chance to win, a good medical staff, along with some minutes restrictions he could play meaningful amounts of basketball. Trey Murphy would be the best 4 option next to these guys. Murphys an elite 3pt shooter with enough length and athleticism to pressure the rim when guarded by a poor defender. I would also see Murphy as some form of Zion insurance as if Zion goes down Trey Murphy as your number three is basically Derrick white without the playmaking but with some more scoring ability. Yes defensively he’s a step down from white and plays a different role but his length and athleticism are defensive pluses. Finally the cherry on top Herb Jones. Herb would bring a defensive presence not many other on the league have, yes offensively he’s probably a net negative but his contract plus future picks could be used in a deal to get another player for the Cs. Then between Hugo - Baylor - Queta - Garza - or Herb Jones for the 5th spot Garza for a big who can shoot next to Z, Queta for pure rim pressure, Hugo for defense and connective passing, Baylor for more shooting & passing. And finally herb to lock down opposing wings
