Boston would be going all in here, would incur some serious tax penalties, and not have any flexibility in terms of picks to trade for years (due to the Stepien Rule) - but this might be exactly what it takes to get over the hump. Beal and Tatum team up, and along with Brown, Smart, and the rest of the Celtics - they make a run at a title.

For the Wizards fans who will clamor for more in return - Beal is an outright free agent and the team has little, to no, leverage. Lining up these players, and additional picks, is more or less standard operating procedure for them acting as a catalyst in a sign-and-trade to send Beal to Boston. A solid role player/potential sixth man (White), still undeveloped prospect (Nesmith), and some draft capital should be enough to abet Beal in becoming a Celtic.
