First thought is the Celtics need to go get another all star, no that's not the right play for this team. What I'm doing here is a small trade that could pay off huge. Brandon Clarke is the perfect fit for the new age power forward for the Celtics. Not only does he slide into the starting rotation he slides other players into better positions. Also by doing this trade and a signing of a free agent, the Celtics don't win because of 3 super stars, they win because of the amount of fire power and skill. The free agent I'm bringing back is fan favorite, Isaiah Thomas. This is done for scoring off the bench, a hungry player who wants to prove he still has it, loves Boston and can be a starter if needed. Edwards is out the door so you can brush off those Thomas #4 jerseys and sell more of them. Now listen why this trade and signing makes the Celtics serious contenders right away.

Starting Five - A young, hungry lineup with the two super stars of Tatum and Brown. They're who the offence will run through. Williams is great for lobs, Clarke has shown flashes of a real scorer plus versatile defender, Smart we want to go be the tradition point guard now and be the pitbull defender again. The bonus is Smart you know can score if needed and Williams has the talent to be a top center on the defensive end. Williams Clarke Tatum Brown Smart

Second Unit - A group of veterans that are wanting to play plus can insert anytime in the starting line up. Kanter and Horford two bigs that play both center and traditional power forward. Kanter is a monster on the boards and a good inside game. Horford the better defender has both an inside and outside game. Richardson a player who can play the two or three, steps in to be the starting small, a long defender and a slasher who can also be a good three point shooter when needed. Schroder is looking for a big pay day and will do what's needed, score and defend. Schroder here plays the shooting guard but can also be the point here or in the starting five. Thomas being the 6th man off the bench and the scorer of the unit makes up for his defense. Thomas is also not afraid of the big lights and could step into the starting five if need of more scoring.

End of the Bench - Nesmith and Pritchard in the summer league showed great talent, but not sure if just ready yet to fully contribute. The good thing though is being able to have two young players show this much promise. Langford is a wildcard, shows promise but can't seem to stay on the court. Fernando, is an interesting big man that could be used in the right situation.
