I know this package doesn’t look great from Wizards perspective, but this gives them expiring contracts and some draft capital. Although the simulator says they will win more games with this trade, i think we can all agree that this is a way better trade for the clippers. The thought process here is that they will waive PJ and look to trade Powell at the deadline. This also greatly increases their chance of getting Flag in the draft.
