If they decide to keep Kawhi and not trade him, the best thing they can do is:
First, look for a starting center until Konan Niderhauser develops further. Hartenstein knows what it’s like to play in LA and would come with a much more important role. The lack of salary cap space in OKC would allow him to come in free agency.
Second, find a secondary player who can handle the ball. The best option is Grimes, who is very likely not to remain with the Sixers next year.
Roster moves with the current team: keep Mathurin and Collins, renewing them on affordable contracts. Decline the team options for Brook Lopez, Bogdanovic, and Batum. Try to trade Jackson for a couple of second-round picks. Fill the remaining roster spots with veterans signing for the minimum or recently drafted players.
Roster:
Startin 5 : Garland, DJJ, KAWHI, COLLINS, HARTENSTEIN
Bench 5 : Dunn, Grimes, Mathurin, Miller,Sanders, Niderhauser
