You have Doncic and a 7 footer, that alone at face value is a ticket to a seat in the playoffs. But do I think it makes the Lakers a bonafide contender... No
For this team to do anything close to what I think the general consensus among the fans is for a good season, Doncic will have to have a LEGIT MVP year.
I'm not sold on their depth, I won't be surprised if Bron looks just as good as last year. But if Doncic gets hurt or Father time finally seems to be at least thinking about Bron it'll get ugly. The Lakers are arguably the most top end heavy team in the League IMO.
That being said Reaves is a player who is underrated/Overshadowed by playing next to those two and I think will have to play a massive role in keeping the offence moving when they are benched/missing.
Player to watch is Deandre Ayton... They had flashes of a legit contender last year with Jaxson Hayes at centre. Ayton is the player who is set up to benefit/impact the most here and will be crucial on both ends. 7 footers eat with Luka, hell Jaxson Hayes did.
Overall rating is a 7.8
