it may surprise you that i'm officially higher on ausar than amen

i watched a full ote game today and ausar was just clearly the better player and amen struggled while really didn't give me the right vibes. amen was always going for the flashy finish every time and he missed a lot of shots at the rim because of it. besides that, the lack of jumpshooting was even more apparent than ever. i counted one ugly three point attempt and zero midrange attempts. even if he isn't making his jumpshots, he should still be taking them. he had one speed with the ball in his hands, and drove headfirst into the paint every time. if he couldn't get a shot at the rim he kicked it out. all of his teammates were bad shooters, so it really wasn't an effective strategy. i'm beginning to feel like amen is just a posterizing showstopper who is unwilling to learn how to play basketball. not trying to sound hateful or anything, i don't have anything against amen. he is still an incredible prospect, but i'm not at all thrilled by him. his style of play just won't work in the nba. it somewhat worked in the ote against very poor comp, but he'll run into a lot of trouble in the nba. maybe amen can prove me wrong this upcoming season, but i'm a tad disappointed for now. i will say that i was pretty impressed by ausar. he did all the little things, and seemed to have much more jumpshooting potential. he looked like an nba player. i saw both of them through a bit of a different light, and i guess that is it. just thought i should give you guys a bit of an update.
