Not to be too much of a hater here, but I've been having this argument with my friend. I just feel like several franchises (kings, pels, hornets, wizards) just continue to make baffling decisions such that even I, someone who has been a faithful observer of the NBA for years but has never worked in a FO, feel like I could put up a more competent team building strategy than what a lot of these guys are doing.

For example, rebuilding a play-in bulls team in the western conference was NEVER going to work and almost everyone knew it. Obviously the GM had pressure to put up a winning roster, but did he really think THAT was gonna be it??
