THE Boston Celtics formerly owned by the Grousbeck Family was sold on 3/20/25 at for A record breaking 6.1 BILLON Dollars by Billy Chisholm (with a few others still being named). He is a Massachusetts Native who has been a fan of the Celtics for years came to his first game at the game of 7 and has been a fan ever since. Now he currently is a Managing partner of Symphony Technology Group in California and based of reports is looking for a house in Boston to manage team operations. Wick Grousbeck will still be the acting governor till 27-28 season I think he will ask wick to leave sooner and buy the rest shortly.. He has bought 51% and plans to buy the other 49% in a few years for more money. 7.3 Billon in total so 1.2 Billon Dollars will come in the future. I perssonaly think Steve Pagliuca and a group of investors should of bought it to keep it the same. Intersting person to sell to. How ever The Grousbeck Family still owns the team because as of now we are waiting on word from the board of governors to approve the sale, It however probably will go thru within the next few hours or sometime this weekend.
