The concept is simple. There will be 32 legends that are assigned a number between 1-32. You will get to pick a number and you receive the corresponding player. However, you will not know who the legend attached to the number is until after you select. The order of teams who get to select first will be randomly created when we reach a good amount of people. Now you are probably wondering why there are 32 legends if there are only 30 teams, right? Well, I will allow two expansion teams that you get to create. First two who get them will get them. I will not be participating as one of the teams so all 32 teams are available for selection. You will not be able to trade your legend until after the first season ends. I would like this to be a 4 maybe 5 season long mock but we will see.
Other rules: Remember this starts at the start of the 22-23 season. No steipen, no salary cap, if I must I will veto trades. Trade Deadline is turned off so trades can be season-long. There is no limit to the amount of trades you make. In terms of free agency, it is a bidding war so then everyone can get a fair chance. There will be a 2 day period for free agency. Whoever makes the highest bid for the player, receives said player. A max of 4 players can be signed in free agency. Rosters are not required but may help other people so it is recommended.
Schedule: Until Thursday, it will be people joining and me setting everything up. Thursday and Friday will be picking the legends. Saturday, trades can be started to be finalized and simulation will be begin. The timeline forward will be determined once we get there.
I have wanted to start a mock for awhile now and I thought of this concept and thought it was cool. I don't know if anyone has done anything like this in the past so I didn't mean to copy them if this has been done. I would highly recommend joining as it will be fun.
