Here are some targets I think BYU should try to get in the portal this year and why.
Henri Veesar: He's a tall man who is looking for a new home. I think he could be a valuable edition to BYU as a much needed big man.
Stefan Vaaks: He's a elite wing that we would love to help with shooting and spacing.
Miles Byrd: He's a elite scorer and wing who could push BYU to the next level with Bruce Branch. Would be a awesome duo. Pretty elite shooter.
Karson Templin: He's a star LDS center and could be the 6 man BYU needs or a elite starter.
Ryder Frost: He's a elite wing who brings power and shooting with him. Spreads the flooring with elite shooting stats. Here's the big one.
OILVIER RIOUX: He's a 7'9 beast from Florida that has spent 2 seasons with Florida while being redshirted during the championship run. He's barely played and has averaged around 1 point through out restricted games. I believe that KY (Kevin Young the BYU coach) can develop him into the next Shawn Bradley. During his remaining 3 years of eligibility could transform him into a top 5 pick at BYU. I would spend good money if KY sees potential for this beast. I believe he could dominate if he gets a chance with the right coach.
Let's see who my Cougs pick up this offseason.
