Happy Fourth of July to everyone! I made a similar post for MLK Day that I want to replicate for today. I will be using current NBA players who are currently on a roster (so no LeBron). I could do all time, but decided to just do current as I feel like there is more conversation to it that way then with an all time since I think we will mostly agree with my decisions. So, without further ado.
George Washington - Stephen Curry
A universally respected leader who changed the direction of the league overnight.
Alexander Hamilton - Nikola Jokic
Brilliant mind whose perspective of the game is seen differently through his lenses.
Thomas Jefferson - Kevin Durant
An admired but also oft scrutinized, but is still one of the greatest talents ever.
Benjamin Franklin - Jimmy Butler
Wise veteran, respected leader, but doesn't always have the flashiest resume.
James Madison - Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
An extremely effective and methodical talent.
John Adams - Draymond Green
Willing to be unpopular as long as he plays a major role on a team that isn't always appreciated by the public.
Samuel Adams - Anthony Edwards
Big, energetic personality who gets people excited.
Patrick Henry - Tyrese Haliburton
A vocal leader who has become one of the league's most recognizable personalities.
John Hancock - LaMelo Ball
Stylish, confident, known for making an impression.
There is my list! Let me know your thoughts on this and below is the link to the MLK one I made back in January.
