Hey guys,
Add more depth to the mock, I have created a trade report for all the authorised deals thus far. Enjoy π
Approved Trades:
WAS: Wall, Claxton + Campazzo
UTA: Murray + Reid
Wizards needed a better C and Jazz wanted a upgrade at PG.
No picks were involved so which is good. However, Wall is a ageing player who plays similar to Lonzo (though Lonzo has improved as a shooter). It's a win both teams - though I slightly favour Jazz .
WAS = A-
UTA = A
LAC: Zaire Williams, Davion Mitchell, 2024 and 2026 FRP
CLE: Anthony Edwards
The obvious winner are Cavs. They traded young bench/rotation players for a potential supertars. Clippers are taking this season but they could of got a lot more
CLE = A+
LAC = D-
MIN: Domantas Sabonis
CLE: Kristaps Porzingis, Lu Dort, 2022 FRP
The question is: who's better between Sabonis + Porzingis? I lean to Sabonis but Porzingis isn't no slough. Cavs also received a young Dort + FRP so that tips the trade in their favour
CLE = A
MIN = B
LAC: Draymond Green, 2023frp, 2027frp, and 2025frp pick swap (more favorable)
TOR: KAT and 2025frp (less favorable) between Clippers and Raptors
Clippers are in full tank mode. However, they rectified from their trade by getting a high-player in Green plus 3 picks.
Raptors received the best player + add probably the perfect center for Steph Curry.
CLE = A
TOR = A
MIN: WILLY HERNANGOMEZ
TOR: 2024 FRP
Raptors are the obvious winner. FRP for willy? Next question...
TOR = A++
MIN = F
6.MIN: MO WAGNER
ORL: 2026 FRP
Looks like T-Wolves has a fetish for mid-level centers from overseas. Another FRP for a player who would struggle to crack my rotation.
ORL = A+
MIN = F
Clippers: Nwora and 1 FRP 2024
Utah Jazz: Jalen Suggs
Jazz are the winners. They received a potential for a bench warmer. Another nightmare from Clippers (though they did receive a FRP).
CLE = F
UTA = A+
Raptors Receive: Jaylen Brown, 2022 First Round (Least Favourable)
Suns Receive: Desmond Bane, 2022 First Round (More Favourable), 2024 (Timberwolves), 2022 SRP (Raptors)
This is a very interesting trade. Raptors received the better player but Banes could potentially be as good. However, the swap pick is "poison pill". Raptors have a championship-level team so their picks will be less favourable, which means both teams will keep their there 2022 picks.
So in reality, the raptors trade brown for 2024 FRP + 2022 SRP - shrewed move by the Raptors π
PHO: B
TOR: A+
Spurs: Tobias Harris, Herb Jones, 2023 first round pick, 2025 first round pick
Nuggets: Brandon Ingram, JaMychal Green
Ingram fits the nuggets young core + could compete in the future - although they could have got a better player instead i.e. Jaylen Brown
Spurs received an above-average player + 2 FRPs which could be used in other trades.
DEN: B-
SAS: A-
Blazers: Josh Green
Spurs: Nemanja Bjlelica + 2023 2nd round selection
This trade has no major impact on either team. However, Spurs got a pick out of the trade.
POR: C
SAS: C+
Raptors Receive: Tyus Jones
Bulls Receive: Taurean Prince
I'm really liking how the raptors are moving. They got better player, who will be a good back up behind Steph, for a guy who could easily be a FA.
CHI: F
TOR: A+
Spurs: Jalen Suggs, 2022 FRP
Jazz: Jaren Jackson Jr
I can see Dame packing in bags already...
Spurs trade another highly-touted youngster for another highly-touted youngster. The difference is JJJ currently more developed than
MIN RECEIVE TREY LYLES AND A 2022 SRP
CLIPPERS RECEIVE CAM THOMAS
Hawks Get: Giannis Antetokounmpo
Jazz Get: LaVine, Siakam, Keldon Johnson, James Bouknight, 3 FRP in the years 2023, 2025, 2027
Am I seeing things... Jazz traded Giannis?!? Although this is outrageous it's actually a good trade. Here's why:
Everyone is a 1+1 PO. Though Giannis is elite, the support cast around wasn't good enough to win - which may have resulting in him walking in the off-season. I believe the Jazz GM realised this so he traded him for 2 all-stars, 2 high-value youngster + 3 FRPs.
The hawks received an fantastic player but now in the same situation the Jazz were in. However, they how have less assets to use.
PLEASE READ THE RULES. IT WILL GO A LONNNGGG WAY...
ATL: C-
UTA: A++
Raptors Receive: Aaron Gordon
Trailblazers Receive: Cabel Martin & 2026 Second Round Pick via Raptors
Good trade for raptors.They get and starting-caliber player who both start + backup KAT. Blazers would have to convince me how this trade works well for them in the long run.
I need to go shopping with the raptors GM. He'll definitely find me all the best deals π
TOR: B+
Blazers: D+
Pelicans:CJ McCollum
Hornets: Kyle Kuzma SRP from 2022 and 2023
Pelicans won the trade. They only had to give up two SRP to acquire CJ. Now they have a core of Tatum, CJ + Mobley. Hornets should of tried to get at least a FRP from this trade.
NOL: A
CHA: C-
Raptors Receive: Bojan Bogdanovic
Pelicans Receive: Patty Mills, 2024 SRP (Raptors)
Another good-value trade for both team.
Raptor trade their a spare PG + low-value pick for a starting caliber wing who adds addition shooting. Pelicans trade their back-up SF (possible starter) for a much needed PG.
TOR: A
NOL: A-
19.GSW: Matisse Thybulle
TOR: SABEN LEE AND A 2028 FRP (originally 2026)
MIN: Schroder
Looks like T-Wolves were trying to be economical by trading the same pick twice π
GSW got the best player as Thybulle sits perfectly within their system. Raptors GM needs to change his name to Thanks because he's collecting all of the "infinity picks".
T-Wolves are letting down. A FRP for Dennis Schroder? Come on!!!
GSW: A
MIN: F
TOR: A+
Lakers receive Bojan bogdanovic
Raptors receive Terrence Ross, Obi Toppin, 2026 FRP
Raptors won. They got a FRP, a upcoming talent and replacement for an average starter in Bojan. However, this does leave a hole at SF.
TOR: A
LAL: D-
MIA: Domantas Sabonis
MIN: Jonathan Isaac, 2024 FRP (MIA), 2026 FRP (MIA) (2026 is top 8 protected)
Unusual trade. I think wolves are trying to regain all the picks thrown. away in previous deals.
I like Isaac (I love defensive players) but I believe could have been acquired for less i.e. Dort + 2 SRPs. Heat get the better player but now have a log at the F/C spots - although Sabonis/Val/Jarret could all be traded to fill other needs.
MIN: B
MIA: B-
Hawks: Kai Jones
Lakers: Pat Connaughton, 2028 SRP
Celtics receive Jakob Poeltl
Thunder receive Tre Mann, Garrett Temple, 2022 FRP
MIN RECEIVE TREY LYLES AND A 2022 SRP
CLIPPERS RECEIVE CAM THOMAS
Los Angeles Lakers: Jamal Murray, 2026 FRP
Utah Jazz: Darius Garland, Caris LeVert
Another shrewed deal from the Jazz. This might be the heist of the year.
The Lakers trade away an young all-star + starting level combo-guard for a worse PG + FRP what won't have any value π€
The Jazz now have garland, Lavine, Jalen Green, Keldon Johnson, Siakam + 10 plus FRPs... π
LAL: F
UTA: A++
Hawks: Kai Jones
Lakers: Pat Connaughton, 2028 SRP
Decent trade by the Lakers. They got a good wing-player + pick. Still can't get over the UTA/LAL trade however....
Kai-Jones isn't someone I'd trade for, especially when I have Giannis. I know he's loyal but I think he's definitely keeping his options open.
LAL: A
ATL: D-
Celtics receive Jakob Poeltl
Thunder receive Tre Mann, Garrett Temple, 2022 FRP
Celtics trade FRP, promising-wing + fringe for the second-coming of Luc Longley. Although they gave up FRP, they got a much-needed C - although I think they could have a better C for less i.e. Whiteside, D12, Drummond etc.
On the flip-side, Thunder got a FRP from a player, who would have barely got playing-time. They can also insert Tre-Mann into the starting lineup.
