Yesterday in my AP Statistics class, we were dealing with a dataset involving NBA power forwards. Our teacher knows practically nothing about basketball, so he asked us how we would describe a power forward. We listed off some skills a PF should have, and he didn’t understand so he asked us who a good player was to look up to understand what a power forward is. We struggled to come to a consensus on this issue, and I wondered who the DEFINITION of each position was, not the best at his position, but the one who encompasses all of the skills of his position while not really being a multi-positional guy.
Anyway, this will be a 5-part poll series, and today we are starting with the point guard position. Who is the DEFINITION of a point guard, who would you use as an example to explain the position to someone who doesn’t know much about basketball? Very curious who you guys will say, I have listed a few options but feel absolutely free to list your own suggestions in the comments. Whether you pick someone on my list or not, comment who you picked and why so we can all discuss the merits of each player mentioned
