Hey guys so I’ve been seeing a lot of people make racist posts and racist comments and I just wanna say that it’s never okay to say stuff like that. Now most of the people on Fanspo are chill and they won’t say stuff like that but it’s the handful of people who say it and it’s not okay. I know that there are some racist people in the world but you can’t just go around online saying racial slurs and stuff like that. If you’re saying it because you think it’s cool then you should realize that you may now think of yourself as a cooler person now, but you could say something really harmful to someone else and that should go against a lot of people’s core values. I believe that Fanspo does a great job with removing the people making these harmful comments so I want to applaud everyone who is helping terminate the problem. In the real world, there are bigger consequences than simply getting banned. There is a chance that if you say racial slurs to someone, you could get arrested. Now some of you may not have known better and I believe in second chances but if I see someone repeatedly do it then I know that they know what they’re doing. I’m not saying I’ll tolerate it the first time because I’ll probably call them out, but I believe that the person who said that can say sorry and that they didn’t know better and then go live their live a better person because they aren’t saying harmful comments to other people. These comments also don’t apply to race, it can apply to weight, who you’re attracted to, political view, your finances, your height, and many more topics. You can disagree with a person on a topic but you should never attack them about something they are or aren’t or something they have or don’t have. The reason why I made this post is to educate people that hate speech on Fanspo has never and will never be tolerated.
