The Timberwolves will most likely use LaMelo Ball as the main ball handler with heavy movement from all three perimeter players to get an open three. Either Anthony Edwards or Jaden McDaniels may sometimes step in as the secondary ball handler. This would make LaMelo Ball a three point hunter moving around as much as he can to get a shot. Rudy Gobert will stay down in the paint except for when he runs some occasional pick and rolls with LaMelo. Both Anthony Edwards and P.J. Washington have strong frames so they may be asked to slash often with LaMelo and Jaden on the perimeter as spacers.

Jaden McDaniels will always guard the other team’s best 1-4 player. Anthony Edwards will either step in on the main ball handler or other perimeter player. Lamelo ball will be hidden on the opponent’s least threatening offensive player. P.J. Washington will guard the strongest forward. Rudy Gobert will most likely stay in the paint hunting shots to block and sometimes may be switched onto 1-4 if there is a player who can’t shoot and isn’t much of an offensive threat(similar to Wemby on Josh Hart).

Projected Wins: 51 The Timberwolves have put together a very good and balanced team that might contend for a ring. However, LaMelo Ball is very inconsistent and may lose them some games. With Ayo Dosunmu it will help a bit, but they will still lose some games due to his inconsistency. The West has seemingly lost some star power this season so they will probably be top 4 in the West.
