Fanspo Community Health and Wellness


Hi guys! I just wanted to take some time to express some personal feelings I have and give others the option to participate.

Mental health is exceptionally important to me and my family. I have struggled (and still do) with panic attacks from time to time, particularly when there are stressful events/changes occurring in my life. Other members of my family have struggled with similar issues as well.

I wanted to create a post (that will always be pinned to my profile for easy access) that allows members of the Fanspo community to share any personal struggles that they have going on. You can be as vague or as specific as you want to be. You don’t even have to participate. Sometimes just reading about what other people are going through and how they work on dealing with it can be beneficial.

For me it’s the start of college. I have always been close with my parents, and have just started the process of switching over to online school so I can continue to live with them. I had two panic attacks yesterday and quickly realized that something had to change. Do NOT be afraid to talk with someone about what is going on in your life. The internet and social media may make you think that no one cares or that everyone is better off than you. This is emphatically wrong!!! There are always people out there who can sympathize and empathize with you.

Maybe I am out of my place doing this, but it’s important to me to give it a shot. MODS, if you would like me to delete this post please let me know and I will take it down ASAP.

I encourage and empower all who choose to share in the comments to be on the watch for such instances. I am somewhat of an OG here (2 years and counting!!) and feel that I should be able to do this.
