I made predictions just before the start of the season, let's go back and check on them! I'll also be scoring my predictions. I take 1 off for every place or win I'm off. Let's just say I had some good predictions, and some very VERY bad predictions aswell. Also this'll be split into a few sections. East, West and Playoffs and awards.
East
New York Knicks. Record: 59-23. In the post I also said that with the addition of KAT, they will become a powerhouse with one of the best 3 pt shooting bigs.
Actual: 3rd place in the East -2, 51-31 -8. I mean KAT was good, and the rest of the team delivered, but it just wasn't enough to beat the top 2. Grade: B
Boston Celtics. Record: 56-26. I said in the post that as-long as JT or JB doesn't get injured, they'll be sure to do good.
Actual: 2nd place in the East 0, 61-21 -5. The team worked well together, their 3pt shooting was amazing, everything clicked for them. Grade: A-
Philidelphia 76ers. 50-32. I said that after a disappointing loss to the Knicks last season, they'll be fired up. Adding PG to an already stacked team, the 76ers are the team to look out for this season.
Actual: 13th in the East -10, 24-58 -26💀. Everything was wrong about this. I mean now after acquiring VJ, could they be this good? Grade: D-
Orlando Magic. 46-36. I said that Paolo is him and that with all of the others on the team, the Magic will be fighting with the Contenders.
Actual: 7th in the East -3. 41-41 -5. If Paolo never got injured, I reckon my predictions would've been very close. Franz really shined this season. If all the injuries didn't happen. This team would've done so much better. Grade: B-
Indiana Pacers. 45-37. I said that I belive the Pacers will continue their hot streak from the season before into this season and that Hali, Pascal and Myles will all combine to help them achieve great things this season.
Actual: 4th in the East -1. 50-32 -5. Definitely not one of my worst predictions this season. The big 3 really played well this season, but in such a weak East, where would've they came in the West. Grade: A-
Cleavland Cavaliers 43-39. I said even though they look good in the games before the start of the season, I don't see them doing aswell in the regular season.
Actual: 1st in the East -5. 64-18 -21💀. I was so wrong on the Cavs. Garland returned to form, Mobley was a demon on defense and Allen and Spida looked better then last season. Grade: C-
Milwaukee Bucks. 41-41. I said that the Bucks can't just rely on Giannis to deliver and that Dame is just hit and miss. And that they have to blow it up next season.
Actual: 5th in the East -2. 48-34 -7. The Bucks were decent enough this season, despite Dame being hit and miss, Giannis delivered and led the Bucks to the In-season tournament win. Maybe if they kept Thanasis they mightve been better. Grade: B
Miami Heat. 41-41. I said that Jimmy and Terry are well past their prime. (Terry with other problems) And that Herro and Jaquez won't be good enough to take them into the Playoffs. I also said Jimmy wouldn't request a trade. (I was wrong)
Actual: 10th in the East -2. 37-45 -4. Not bad on the team predictions, but I was very wrong on the player predictions. Jimmy got traded, Terry was betting the under on himself and Jaquez just didn't perform this season. Grade: B.
Atlanta Hawks. 40-42. I said that Trae Young and Risacher will be a nice duo in Atlanta, but I don't think they'll make that huge push into the top 6 positions. I also siad that Trae will request a trade if they start bad.
Actual: 8th in the East -1. 40-42 0. An almost perfect prediction. One position off. I think this was my best prediction. Trae Young and Riscaher were decent together, nothing special. And they were just fine. Grade: A+.
Charlotte Hornets. 39-43. I said that if LaMelo is healthy the whole season, the Hornets could be a shock top 6 seed. But I don't see that happening. Brandon Miller will also show off his talent this season, shocking some fans this season.
Actual: 14th in the East -4. 19-63 -20💀. Not a good prediction in the slightest. It was really a hit or miss, no-one knew if they would do well or not. At least I was correct with LaMelo get injured and Brandon Miller playing well. Grade: C
Toronto Raptors. 34-48. I said and I quote " Did anyone else forget the Raptors existed. " I said aswell that they'll still be mid this season. With the few talents that they have, I think they'll have another mid season.
Actual: 11th in the East 0. 30-52 -4. The predictions weren't bad, but WHY DID I THINK THEY DIDNT EXIST? THEY WON A RING IN 2019!!! They were mid again, so overall a decent prediction. Grade: A-.
Chicago Bulls. 33-49. I said that they were like the Raptors, mid. Except for a few talents, and with no huge additions, they'll be in for another season of mediocrity. However if Matas Buzelis plays well, they could be higher.
Actual: 9th in the East -3. 39-43 -6. Josh Giddey and Coby White played really well together to get this team out of mediocrity. Matas Buzelis played decent aswell. Not terrible. Grade: B
Detroit Pistons. 29-53. I said, I don't see Cade performing this season, even though they have others, they won't perform either. In a few years though, these will be good.
Actual: 6th in the East -7. 44-38 -15. I was so wrong about everything with Detroit. Cade was an absolute beast this season. And others like Duren helped the team into the top 6. Grade: D+.
Washington Wizards. 19-63. I said, the only thing Washington should do this season is to tank in the hopes of a good pick. I also said that Poole will still play bad, bringing the whole team down.
Actual: 15th in the East -1. 18-64 -1. One of my better predictions for sure. They did exactly as I said, just tank. Poole also played pretty bad aswell. Grade: A-.
Brooklyn Nets. 10-72. I said, the Nets should do the same as Washington, just tank. I also said that they should trade their good players like Cam Thomas and DORIAN FINNEY-SMITH. No Cam Johnson.
Actual: 12th in the East -3. 26-56 -16. I don't think this is that bad. They tanked aswell like Washington, and they traded DFS. Overall not terrible. Grade: B-.
