ok so were fully in the swing of things this trade deadline and ive been dropping grades left right and center so let me explain how I grade my trades.
I have my own system, its made people very confused but I'm going to explain it by how I view each section.
THE As: All time level trades
A+: A GOAT Trade, literally no flaws, absolute steal and changed your entire franchises outlook towards being a title favourite or ending in a championship. Probably won't give this out, purely a Hindsight ranking tbd.
A: small flaws but again a steal and a half and changes the out look of your franchise, E.G. the Luka trade we just had
A-: clearly won a trade that changes your franchise projection, this is where the steal part becomes less of a point
THE Bs: Great/Good Trades
CAP FOR NON ALL STARS
B+: A top trade of the year candidate for the season.
CAP FOR ROLE PLAYER TRADES
B: little flaws, but not as much impact towards a teams direction. Great trades
B-: A great trade, if you get this as a grade I think there's an argument you won the trade. Adds to direction and improves team complexion. Good Trades
ANY TRADE ABOVE THIS POINT I WOULD DO
THE Cs: Painfully average/Little Impact
C+: team gets better of only one of, Team complexion or Direction
C: Painfully Average
C-: Team loses one of, team complexion/Direction
THE Ds: What the plan here???
D+: I see the vision, kinda, but you're just wrong. Somewhat understandable yet confusing trades which are just bad all round.
D: All round Bad trade, worst trade of the year candidate
D-: Put your hands over your eyes, cry yourself to sleep, fire the GM. Terrible trade
The final grade:
F: Worst trades of all time. Again, probably a hindsight ranking
So now it should make a bit more sense ok, you will see more concentrated trades to the center of the rankings list and rarely anything above B+ and below D, weirdly I have given 2 above B+ trades so far this season.
