There are multiple reasons why the nets are going to at least win 50 games and they are going to be contenders.

Reason 1 is their star power. With MPJ leading the way and Julius Randle as the second option the nets have arguably the best duo in the league. Not a single team is going to get a stop against that duo. And then they also have Egor Demin who is going to take a sophomore jump and at least average 20.

Reason 2 is that they have the best depth in the league with their young players. Mikel Brown Jr is the best rookie in the draft classes and it is obvious that Danny Wolf, Nolan Traore and Ben Saraf are going to take massive leaps. And then you also include Mo Wagner, Dayron Sharoe, Keon Ellis and Noah Clowney, this team is going to be special.

And the final reason is that they have no reason to tank because the rockets have their pick and they have the best coach in the NBA. The players are finally going to be competing.
