Individual Seasons

I saw a Reddit post of someone sharing their “perfect” NBA starting 5, so I decided to give it my best shot.

PG: 2016 Steph Curry: Pretty self-explanatory, in my opinion the single greatest season ever, he peaked both offensively and defensively, average 30 points going 50/45/90 and led the league in steals. Elite gravity with or without the ball and a constant motor.

SG: 2019 Klay Thompson: This was statistically his best defensive season while simultaneously he still averaged 20 points shooting 40% from 3.

SF: 2016 Kawhi Leonard: The DPOY, an elite lockdown perimeter defender and disruptor. Shot 44% from 3 while averaging 21 points and could very easily slide into more of an off-ball role.

PF: 2016 Draymond Green: This was his best offensive season by far and he was 2nd in DPOY voting, an elite switchable defender that shot nearly 40% from 3 while averaging 14, 9, and 7.

C: 1994 Hakeem Olajuwon: Both the DPOY and MVP, an elite rim protector and the anchor of the defense, he could even switch onto forwards and bigger guards. An elite post player and great finisher, the big Curry always needed beside him.
