Jordan Poole was supposed to be the next nba star. He was supposed to be the air to Steph curry. Even before he entered the NBA he hit one of the most iconic shots in modern college basketball history and played next to Michigan and college legend mo Wagner. But entering the league he wasn't seen as that important but slowly became the NBA fan bases favorite young guard. I mean why would you not route for him. He had charisma, he was fun and energetic, he had that playstyle that young and smaller kids could recreate, he hit huge shots. And helped his team reach the finals and helped Steph Curry win his 4th championship that put him into unanimous top 10 rankings. But due to Draymonds jealousy his career went on a downfall trajectory before he even sniffed his prime. Truly one of saddest stories in modern nba history and it really goes to show what he could've been. Looking back on all of this years later when he is on a 1 year contract on the pelicans where he is no longer in the rotation is insane. But no matter what. I will never give up on the poole party. I believe in the right system and the right team he can revive his career. Will he ever be seen as a future star or even all star. Probably not but can he be a winning player on a championship team. Yes.
