I have Stockton ranked in my top 10 all time, above Magic, Curry and all other point guards. Almost every person who I have told this take to have called me crazy and I wouldn’t be surprised if you did to, just let me explain first.

The only other two in contention are Steph and Magic, both have multiple rings while Stockton has none, but the teams they were on were much different and much worse. Steph has played with 3 maybe 4 hall of famers (Klay, Dray, KD, maybe Iggy). Magic played with 2 others (Kareem, Worthy). Stockton still played with a hall of famer yes (Mailman) but he was doing some stuff to girls and is also not ranked as highly as KD or Karrem. Depth is also a big factor, Curry had Bogut, Poole, Wiggins, AV, Shaun Livingston and others. Magic had Micheal Cooper, Byron Scott, Mycal Thompson, Bob Macadoo and Vlade Divac (RIP). Stockton had Mark Eaton (RIP), Jeff Hornaek and Byron Russel. Way worse than Steph or Magic

Sure, he never got an MVP or a ring. But Jordan was always going to win most of those MVPS. I do admit, he should have one at least one when Jordan retired for 2 years. He made the finals twice, that still at least counts for something.

His main reason would be his 2 unbeatable records. Steph’s 3 point record will most likely be broken with how many 3s are being shot in modern day basketball. Assists and Steals are not only completely away from Chris Paul’s reach, but are both declining in the modern NBA. There on different ends of the floor as well, not like Free Throws and 2 Point Shots. He’s also a better shooter than what people give him credit for, he didn’t need to do much due to the Mailman, but put him on the Jazz or any team now, and he’ll average 23-5-16.

I will address the elephant in the room, I don’t support his takes on vaccines, he’s not the smartest guy. It’s not like we haven’t seen interesting people in the league before, i mean Rodman is friends with Kim Jong Un.

If he played today, or in any era passed when he played, I would have him as the best PG in the league, Curry might overtake in 2016 but that’s about it. I’m also not saying that Curry’s and Magic’s rings are not impressive, any ring is especially Curry’s 22 ring when he was carrying that team on his back.

This took me quite a while, please like and flame, get this to as many people as possible and give me your takes on it, I want to see if my reasoning was enough to get Stockton some respect from other people.
