So idk what to title this or really how to put this but I've gotten excited about this so yeah. So if y'all didn't know I am a high schooler and I'm at the point where I need to start thinking about college. And today was the college fair and this really helped me imo. I'm not really a school person and recently I've been against college since I didn't see my self getting a degree for a job I was interested in and I've been kinda yk confused on what I want to do in life. Obviously I have a lot of time to decide but today steered me into a path I think I want to go down. So I found out today at some school there's a major called sports media. This can help you get jobs like announcing games, becoming a sports journalist, and more jobs about sports that aren't playing them. And I am really interested in sports. Primarily basketball but I dabble in casual football. And today I met this college recruiter who had a sports media degree. And the more he talked about his college and how a sports media degree is the more I liked it and took interest into it. The college I'm looking at has a pretty high acceptance rate which doesn't really matter to me. But it also has decently smaller classes like around 15-20 people per class. Which I love because the class isn't too hectic and you can have a closer relationship with your teachers which can help in certain situations. It also has amazing scenery and is decently local from where I currently live. There are many more things that make me want to go to this college but I'm not going to get into that rn. But with the degree I can get from this I can get a few jobs that I would be interested in with a starting salary of around 60k a year which isn't great but isn't horrible since it raises with experience. Anyways that is a goal I will push towards over the next few years!
