First off, I know I may/will be ruffling some feathers. I made a petition post a few months to stop all of those date posts and they slowly died. I kept my nose out of the "Hi, I'm new here" accounts and stayed out of some of those meaningless beefs, but this one is a whole lot different. We all know how this started and I will not give a backstory or name names, but a certain user is trying to farm attention for trying to start a Government, or what he called a democracy after a what we now know as a prank account fooling us that he wanted to start his own Government. This isn't going to work, it failed the first time and it will fail again. This site is already vulnerable in the first place, if we put some one in charge of us, we will obviously rebel and how do you think smaller creators or people who want to join will feel wanting to hop on this site and join this community when we are tearing each other apart? Is this site dying? No not really, people still use it all the time making trades and using the mock draft and draft board but they rarely post it on the community tab. Is the community posts dying? There you go. People read these posts and all they see is a bunch of twelve year olds fighting and crying about stupid issues on this site that is useless and they stay away because why get involved in that crap? I am older than most of y'all here, I have also been on this site for a while and watched people come and go and if you want to build or repair this site, follow these simple steps:
Keep making your trades and your posts like usual.
Respond to people to build interactions. Be bold and respond to trades/posts you see on new or trending that are users you don't follow or rarely respond to.
Don't try to make one person your "leader". We all post different stuff, we all do different things, don't look at one person and be like "oh, whatever you say goes" because that's not fair to put a person let alone a teenager (which I assume most of y'all are that age) in that position or even right because what if you put someone in that position and he takes sides whether it is the right side or not.
If you have friends at your school or church or other extracurricular places that enjoys basketball or football and likes talking about it, invite them to the site. That is honestly the best way to grow more interactions because you have a buddy that you know and you can quote flame his first post and be like "check my friend out". I invited someone on here years ago before I started posting a lot and he became somewhat popular from what I remembered (I don't remember his username and I lost his number so I can't just text him and ask).
Stop the fake accounts that usually start with "Hi, I'm new here" and then turn around and find out it was a top user trying to fool you. That's gotten old, and I am pretty sure the majority of my followers now are alts. While we are at it, unless you have a second/alt account, don't have another account just trying to farm for more attention and likes and trying to control the front page with all twelve of your accounts have a post on trending each. I know some of y'all thought about that at one point.
I know I ruffled feathers, but all of this had to be said. I also know this is a long post and none of y'all read long posts, but here me out and take all the time you need and consider signing this. Will you get flack for signing? No, I will. Is this the right decision to sign. That's your call.
