Phase 1: The Trade NBA Era, all the OGs that have trades upvoted in the hundreds and have now left the site.
Phase 2: A New Era: Trade NBA turns into Fanspo. Shooter, Atto Reaches Top Status, Mocks Begin, New Creators Show Up (Me, Kyrie, Kingwinner, Chrisgon, Slayerco, Basketball, etc).
Phase 3: The First Prime of Fanspo! Mocks are thriving, creators mentioned previously go nuclear and replace the old, Atto reaches #1, ArmChair’s legendary 2010 mock, Atto’s Mock (so epic), and random debates with Basketball about player value lol.
Phase 4: Too many mocks. Some new creators join, while others who were already on try mocks (including myself). Most fail miserably. Bron’s mocks succeed.
Phase 5: The DarthFader era: Changed mocks forever through “reporting” on the site. Bron’s mocks explode more. Everyone’s having a great time!
Phase 6: Middle School Militia: A bunch of 7th graders join, but with good content, like Mohid (now PaoloOwnsYou). Random alt changes and reveals related to Kyrie happen around this time. Everything’s great!
Also, I believe ASAPCohen came back around this time, making this era even better!
Phase 7: Mass Creator Exodus: Randomly, many big creators just disappear! Basketball, SlayerCo, Quack, and others just stop making content or quit the site. No one knows why. People start freaking out that the site is dying!
Phase 8: Mocks Settle Down, Trades Take Over The Website. Fanspo goes back to what it was meant for: trade ideas! Mocks come to a halting stop after big creators leave or post content less frequently (like ChrisGon). PvP competitions happen and many new people have (Player)4MVP as their name. These new creators start posting and enjoying the site. They are now known as the 6th grade group, a new era of middle schoolers.
Phase 9 (CURRENT PHASE): Mocks Explode Again!: I’m not trying to brag, but with a combination of a bunch of new users (the New Middle Schoolers) and the Chaos Mock, the site is back to enjoying mocks! Following the Chaos Mock, 2, 3, even 4 mocks have been able to thrive at the exact same time, which never was possible or happened before. The new creators are overtaking the old, who are still here, just not as big, more like legends to remember even if they are active on the site. Most new creators are young, but some old guys with great basketball knowledge round out the site and keep it fresh. Fanspo’s 2nd Prime has begun.
We’ve gone into the third Fanspo era:
1: Trade NBA era
2: Fanspo Legends Era
3: Fanspo Rookies/Communative Era
I’m glad this site keeps on going, even though my “prime” is over. May it do so for years to come.
